Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC) is a first of its kind pure Science, Computer and Technology secondary school in Nigeria. It is located in the regional hub of the East, Enugu state precisely in industrial layout Emene, Opposite PRODA. One of the numerous selling points of SSTAC is that the college has come at a time when it has become clear that a developing country like Nigeria need

s as much individuals with the knowledge and practical implementation of science, computer and technology who would lead the way in these fields (Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Computer, Engineering and Technology etc).

The moment we were declared National Winners was nothing short of unforgettable. It is an honour to have emerged 2nd Position nationally last year, and an even greater honour to clinch the trophy this year.

A lot of positive things are happening at Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC), Emene, and over the next few days we will be reeling them out because… why not? Light deserves to shine.

A line from our school anthem keeps echoing:
“Leading the way in practical science,
Taking technology to new heights,
Making history, taking the world by storm…”

Yesterday, our brilliant student ambassadors lived out those very words as they emerged 1st Position in Nigeria at the just concluded Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) Competition.

This victory is more than a trophy. It is a renewed, resounding affirmation that our practically charged “learning by doing” approach is producing students who can compete, innovate, and lead. It shows a school community—staff and students—working in complete harmony with our mission to raise young minds who will challenge and transform the scientific, technological, and computing landscape of Nigeria.

At Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC) Emene, Enugu State, we continue to set the pace for others to follow.

Good Morning Dear Parents,

We hope you are all doing great? Glory to God.

Yesterday brought to an end our two days orientation. We believe that after yesterday, our journey towards achieving the successes of:

1. Academic Excellence
2. Spiritual and Moral Impeccability
3. Social Interactability leading unto leadership

Can begin in Ernest. We hope and pray that the Almighty God upon whom we have this solid rock built will never fail us.

📍SSTAC UK Tour 2025 – A Grand Farewell Feast & A New Beginning 🇬🇧✨

Everything that has a beginning must surely have an end, but what an ending this was! Our final day began with a captivating visit to the Coventry Transport Museum, where history roared to life through iconic vehicles. We then toured the prestigious Coventry University, a proud homecoming for our tour leader and Director of Administration, Engr. Tochukwu Onu, who once walked those very halls.

The day’s crowning moment came with a farewell feast like no other, graciously hosted by AJ, a Sierra Leonean friend and former classmate of our leader. Multiple tables overflowed with mouth-watering dishes in a buffet-style spread, offering our students their first taste of authentic Sierra Leonean cuisine—rich, flavourful, and shared in the warm spirit of African brotherhood. Between the laughter, dancing, games, and heartfelt conversations, the joy was simply unmatched.

Our students return home as true global citizens, enriched, inspired, and ready to dream even bigger. This tour may have ended, but the future it has ignited is only just beginning.

📍SSTAC UK Tour 2025 – Unrivaled Safari & Theme Park Experience 🇬🇧🦁🎢

If there was ever a grand finale to a life-changing journey, our visit to the West Midlands Safari Park was it! Recognised as one of the top three safari parks in the UK, this adventure brought nature, thrill, and laughter together in one unforgettable day.

Our students were left in awe as we came face-to-face with lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, rhinoceroses, cheetahs, camels amongst others, marvelling at the beauty and diversity of wildlife from across the globe. Each encounter sparked curiosity, excitement, and a deeper appreciation for conservation.

The thrills didn’t stop there! We dived headfirst into the park’s mind-numbing theme park experiences—from the adrenaline-pumping rollercoasters and drop towers, to the dizzying spinning rides, the wet-and-wild water splash rides, the enchanting flying swings, the laugh-inducing bumper cars, and the pulse-racing ghost train.

It was the perfect conclusion to the SSTAC UK Tour 2025—combining education, adventure, and pure fun. Our students return home not only with souvenirs, but with stories, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime.

📍SSTAC UK Tour 2025 – Birmingham Experience Update 🇬🇧✨

We took a short break from sharing, but trust us—our adventures have been nothing short of life-transforming! In Birmingham, our students explored the famous Bull Ring, wandered through vibrant markets, and shopped in the bustling city centre. From clothes and shoes to makeup and unique keepsakes, the excitement spanned three full days of unforgettable finds.

Along the way, we had a touching encounter with a true Good Samaritan—a kind stranger who, after spotting us twice, was moved to bless our group with a generous donation, without knowing us beforehand.

From visiting the post office to discovering hidden gems across Birmingham, the memories are endless. Though the shopping thrill brought smiles to all, it certainly took its toll on our dedicated tour leader, Engr. Tochukwu who's stamina almost finished! 😂
From Bull Ring to markets to city centre, our students shopped like pros while the tour leader carried the weight quite literally! But every bag was a memory, and every purchase a smile. Worth it? Absolutely!"

📍SSTAC LONDON Tour – Day 2 Summary 🇬🇧✨
Today marked the grand finale of our two-day educational and cultural immersion tour across London city, and what an unforgettable day it was!

We began our journey at the British Museum, where our students engaged with treasures from ancient civilizations. The day unfolded beautifully as we explored Covent Garden, the energy of Leicester Square, and the vibrant, tourist-filled Trafalgar Square.

Our walk continued through Piccadilly Circus, then into the serene beauty of St. James’s Park, where—beneath the calm of a tree shed near Buckingham Palace—we paused for an inspiring group break over a cold icecrean session for the hot sun above. There, laughter, reflection, and renewed bonds set the tone for our final afternoon.

A patriotic highlight was our quick but symbolic stop at the Nigerian High Commission, where we proudly took group photos—a meaningful moment of connection to home amidst the global buzz.

The sheer number of tourists at landmarks like London Eye, Trafalgar Square, and Buckingham Palace revealed the undeniable power of tourism. Enugu State, blessed with rich history, cultural depth, and natural beauty, holds similar potential—waiting to be unlocked with the right vision and investment this by extension is a mirror of what Nigeria could and should be.

As we settle into our Whitechapel residence tonight and plan to return to our base tomorrow, we reflect not just on what we’ve seen—but who we’ve become.

SSTAC students are not only global learners—they are builders of tomorrow.

📍SSTAC LONDON Tour Day 1 Update 🇬🇧✈️

What a fantastic kickoff to our UK adventure!

We arrived safely at London Victoria by 1pm and immediately dove into a scenic and cultural walk through Westminster, taking in iconic landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and a memorable stroll across Westminster Bridge.

The students were thrilled to grab lunch at McDonald’s, refueling with familiar flavours before continuing their exploration.
We wrapped up our afternoon at the majestic Tower Bridge and Tower of London, capturing unforgettable moments.

Now fully settled into our exquisite accommodation at Whitechapel, we are ready to rest and recharge for another exciting day ahead!

Anticipate our Day 2 Tour of London City where we go to visit the king of UK in Buckingham amongst other exciting events. We are raising global children who will lead.

Good Morning All,

Our children are really settling in and warming up to their environment. This was demonstrated by the Park Day & Football session they had with new met friends yesterday. Exchanging cultures, experiences and age related banters.

What better way to settle in than a lively football match at the local park? Our students mingled with locals, showed off their skills, and shared laughter under the UK summer sun.
This is learning beyond the classroom, and we’re just getting started!

Tomorrow we head off to London city to spend the next two days actually touring many globally reputed tourist and historic places.
