In these increasingly complex and technological world, coupled with the Nigerian Dwindling Economy and the need to promote our local content. It is therefore imperative that we build the Engineering Profession into the minds of the young ones and also bridge the gap between the Academia and the Industries. In this light, we have structured an ENGINEERING ICT PROGRAMME code named:”CATCH THEM YOUNG
ENGINEERS” THE ICT APPROACH; THINKING WITHOUT THE BOX; geared Towards Our Nation Building. A programme targeted at Primary, Junior/Senior Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions, which aims at helping students, beginners and or, people who have never used a computer before, to take a guided approach and or, to take their first steps to getting started with the computer and the internet. Thereby, inculcating and building the idea of the Engineering Profession in their minds. This will be achieved by introducing the students to the various Engineering Professions available with associated ICT tools, while emphasizing its application to Nation building. After a period of research, it was discovered that students need more than the basic school curriculum to advance and explore the world of Engineering and technology.
