Monday the 8th of May, 2023 marked a very important milestone in our partnership with the Oyo State Government and we are excited to announce the successful launch of the Smart ID card project for the Oyo State Government Civil Service.
The launch was chaired by the Oyo State Government Head of Service and project owner within the Oyo State Government, Mrs Amidat Ololade Agboola, with the incoming Oyo State Government Head of Service Mrs Olubunmi Oni serving as co-chair and other directors and permanent secretaries within the Oyo State Civil Service in attendance.
The introduction of the smart ID card initiative is a testament of the Oyo State Government (led by His Excellency ‘s) commitment to digital transformation and innovation for effective governance delivery. The initiative would not have been successful without the keen and unwavering support from the Oyo State ICT agency, led by Honorable Bayo Akande.
The Smart ID card project is the first of its kind in Nigeria by any state government with the card having the ability to be used for identity verification at government service points, personnel management, access control and a host of many other services by extension thr custom API with key data gathering and analytics functionality for overall administration and management.
Prunedge was represented at the launch by Ayodeji Aninkan .Pilot, the Public Sector Sub-national lead and Newton Omagbale, product manager for the Oyo State Smart ID Card project.
