Traditional institution is about preservation of culture, values protection and representing subjects in times of needs and places beyond them.
Religious leadership is about moral guidance & extending hand of fellowships to followers & congretants both in times of peace and trauma.
DOWN MEMORY LANE.
The clear distinction between southern & Northern political elites, traditional rulers & religious leaders lies in the fact that:
1. Southern leaders walk their talk, speak in unison, rarely oppose each other in public even where they don't agree. They have plans , missions & visions. They stand firmly behind & defend their people, tooth & Nail, including the guilty & aggressors among. They promote, protect & project their interest without any sense of shame or regret.
That is why during obasanjos era when a Southern Governor stole N30Billion, some thousand traditional, political & religious leaders went to the Villa, met & pleaded with Obasanjo & charges were withdrawn after his first appearance in court.
The freedom of somany militants, arsonist, looters, drug barons, murderers etc, all of Southern original extraction is treaseable to the silent loud & quality representation they had and are still having from their active and concious leadership.
Just recall the following and where they would have been were it not for the regional cover, comfort and quality representation they had.

Halima Shehu hails from KT state with a Royal lineage & decent parentage of unbroken chain of family tree.
She is a trained commercial & investment banker, a private diplomant &a politician with extensive & impressive skills & track record of delivery on all tasks given to her.
When she was deservingly appointed as the CEO of NSIPA to oversee the inclusion of vulnerable groups in financial circle her outing was credible as within 3 month of reporting to duty she discovered large scale theft, Fraud & other systemically entrenched dishonesty.
She documented every incidence with verifiable evidences, reported same to the ICPC and EFCC. Rather than investigating her report, she was suspended by PBAT a week after her reportage to the two investigative organizations on TRUMP UP ALLEGATIONS of transferring N44BILLION into various private accounts.
After all the grillings by investigative agencies, not a single Naira of fraud was traced to her Nor to her friends or relations. Morethan two years down the line EFCC, ICPC have refused to release the report of both her written petition and that of accusations against her. She has written to the president, challenged ICPC & Efcc to make their findings public and if culpable charge her court but Mum inordinate silence are what follows.
Halima Shehu has no crime or criminal record. She has not killed anybody, not an arsonist, neither a pipeline vandal, murderer, drug baron, political thug, miscreant, name droper or forger of any sort.
She is an honest Nationslistic Nigerian, fully aware of her moral, ethical, civil, civic,cultural & social burdens, duties & obligations.
Had Halima Shehu, innocent as She remains, received timely, persistent & quality represention from KT state traditional rulers, Katsina State Governor, 3 Senators two ministers representing KT state, senior political office holders, the likes of IBRAHIM MASARI etc, her story would have been different.
Halima shehu is now in limbo, feeling abandoned,neither cleared nor convicted.
Elders in Katsina state are hereby called upon to intervene and save Halima Shehu from a deliberate humiliation because of her GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION.
