Earlier this month, our team visited the Centre for Agribusiness and Extension Services (CABEX) at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Kano State.

The Director of CABEX, Professor A. Usman Shuaibu, alongside Dr. Umar Gaya, warmly welcomed our team.

We had a productive strategic partnership meeting, followed by a tour of the university’s impressive agricultural facilities.

We look forward to exploring opportunities for collaboration that can contribute to agricultural development and strengthen extension and agribusiness services.

Earlier this month, Smart AgriBus conducted a smallholder farmer outreach across three locations in Kano State: Makole (Warawa LGA), Bagauda (Bebeji LGA), and Minjibir (Gezawa LGA).

As the 2026 rainy season planting period began, we engaged with farmers and provided refresher training on good agronomic practices to support improved productivity and better farming outcomes.

We also introduced farmers to improved seed varieties across several crops, including maize, groundnut, soybean, cowpea, rice, sorghum, and millet.

Through practical discussions and demonstrations, we encouraged the adoption of improved seeds alongside better farming practices and management techniques.

The outreach created meaningful interactions with farmers who actively assessed the seed varieties on display, engaged in discussions, and embraced the knowledge shared. Seeing their interest, participation, and appreciation reinforced the importance of continuous farmer engagement and extension support.

At Smart AgriBus, we remain committed to equipping farmers with knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions that drive sustainable agricultural growth.
