The UK is going to pass a cable under the sea to Morocco to tap into what's known as High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) from Morocco's renewable energy resources to help it resolve it's dire energy challenges. Costing about £19bn, this project underscores the growing relevance of Africa to solving Europe's and the UK's energy crisis. Let's hope that African leaders will one day wake to the fact that the continent has enough resources to end her energy poverty. Selah.
