Interview Tips for Someone this week;

1. Make sure your CV is updated and printed before the day of your interview

2. Prepare to dress well. Get your clothes ready and your shoes well polished.

(For guys always wear a tie, for ladies always wear heels and, if possible have a brand new hairdo).

*Ladies please don't pack your hair. Allow it fall on your shoulders.

3. Brush your teeth a night before and in the morning of your interview. ( Some breaths are so bad, it could be perceived a mile away. This might destroy your chances).

4. Research very well. Research about the role, research about the company and research about your expected salary. ( Never assume they have a salary budget, be sure to have a figure in mind).

5. Prepare for success. Ensure you've mentally succeeded before you attend the interview. (If you fail within, you are definitely going to fail without) .

6. Browse about likely interview questions. E.g you can browse on Google : Interview questions for a project supervisor, or interview questions for a customer service officer. ( These searches will give you an idea of the likely questions during the main interview).

7. Prepare to focus on the majors and less on the minors. You must practice how to say things they want to hear. (Speak the language of the role you're being interviewed for). To get this right, ensure you have researched about the job description of that role.

8. Prepare to ask them questions. E.g you can ask them what their expectations are for the candidate they intend to hire.

9. Ensure you leave a fantastic closing impression. E.g it could be about something they recently acquired or about the architecture or furniture of the company. Anything but make sure you leave a good one.

10. Make sure you pray like your life depends on it... Because it does.

11. After you have prayed, no matter what arrive early.

12. Don't underestimate anyone within the premises of your interview venue. (Don't also loose your professionalism by being too casual.

I believe this would go a long way for someone this week.
