Inside Cohort 1 of the TAG Automations Internship Programme 2026

Over these past weeks, our interns haven't just been learning automation, they've been living it. Wired up to control panels, deep in PLC programming logic, building and troubleshooting HMI/SCADA systems until every signal, every sensor, every sequence makes sense.

This cohort has shown up with real commitment and technical competence, gaining genuine hands-on experience across:

🔹 PLC Programming

🔹 HMI/SCADA Systems

🔹 Electrical Control Panels Design

🔹 Process Automation

No shortcuts, no simulations pretending to be the real thing. Just wires, panels, code, and the kind of problem-solving that only comes from doing the work yourself.

The learning is far from over and neither is the energy. This is what building the next generation of Automation, Electrical & Instrumentation professionals actually looks like.

Not every lesson happens on a whiteboard.

There is a quiet resilience required to sit with a problem until it finally makes sense. And that is what Cohort 1 is actively learning.

Yes, Cohort 1 is learning PLC programming, SCADA systems, and control panel design. But they're also learning something harder to teach: how to stay doggedly at a problem until it breaks first.

Yes, they're building competence in PLC Programming, HMI/SCADA Systems, Electrical Control Panel Design, and Process Automation, but they're also building patience, discipline, and the confidence to troubleshoot, not just machines, but themselves.

This internship was never just about automation skills. It's about shaping professionals who know how to push through, adapt, and keep showing up. That's what we're proud to watch unfold, one intern at a time.
