Ex-Arsenal star Thomas Partey charged with two new counts of r**e

Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of r**e.

The former Arsenal midfielder has already appeared in court where he denied ra**ng two women and sexually assaulting a third.

He is due to face trial on those allegations in November.

This morning, the Crown Prosecution Service announced that the additional charges referred to a separate report of non-recent offences in 2020 and a new investigation carried out by Metropolitan Police.

They added that the fresh allegations were first reported last August.

The alleged offences which Partey previously denied in court are said to have taken place in 2021 and 2022, when the 32-year-old was an Arsenal regular.

He was charged four days after he departed the London club following the expiration of his contract in June.

Partey now plays for Villareal in Spain. The conditions of his bail do not prevent him from playing, although he must notify police of any international travel 24 hours in advance and must not contact the complainants.

A spokesperson for the CPS said: 'Mr Partey is already charged with five counts of r**e and one count of sexual assault in connection to allegations by three women of incidents which took place between 2021 and 2022.

'These new charges relate to a separate report of non-recent offences in 2020 involving one additional woman and follow a new investigation by the Metropolitan Police. These allegations were first reported in August 2025.

'He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, 13 March for a first hearing.'

On January 7th, in a key match of the 21st round of the Premier League, Manchester City drew 1-1 with Brighton at home. In this game, veteran Milner once again made Premier League history. In the 83rd minute, the 40-year-old came on as a substitute, marking his 650th Premier League appearance and unlocking another milestone. Since his debut in 2002, Milner has played in the Premier League for 25 consecutive years.

Back in 2002, a mere 16-year-old Milner made his Premier League debut for Leeds United against West Ham United. He remained active in top-flight football and became the fifth player in Premier League history to still have appearances after the age of 40.

As of now, the record for most appearances in Premier League history still belongs to Gareth Barry with 653 appearances. Milner is now just three appearances away from that record.

It's worth mentioning that Milner and Barry are also former teammates, having played together at Aston Villa and Manchester City respectively.
