WHY SOLAR SYSTEM FAILS:

“Your solar system may not be bad. It may simply have been badly sized.”

A solar system is not a collection of independent components—it is one electrical system where every component must be correctly matched to the others.

HOW EVERYTHING WORK TOGETHER

Think of the Solar system as a "chain":

"Solar Panels → Protection → Charge Controller/Inverter → Battery → Inverter → Loads"

And the "cables, breakers, fuses, SPDs and earthing" make the whole chain safe and reliable.

The battery must also be capable of supplying the inverter's required current. A large inverter connected to an undersized battery can cause:
* Excessive battery current
* Voltage drop
* BMS shutdown
* Heating of cables and terminals
* Poor inverter performance

THE KEY NOTES

"You don't size a solar system component by component in isolation. You size the components as a system."

# A powerful inverter with a weak battery is a bad system.

# A large battery with inadequate charging capacity is a bad system.

# Large panels connected outside the inverter's PV limits are a bad system.

# Correct components connected with undersized cables are a bad system.

# And a system with good equipment but poorly selected protection is NOT a properly engineered system.

The goal is not simply to buy bigger components. The goal is to make every component electrically compatible, correctly sized, protected and coordinated with the others.👌
