From the Presidential desk:;, You can't run away from Mining!The activities of mankind on earthcrust is Mining in the real sense of it.The Hausas in the northern part of this world are already keen into it and have been doing well.If you ask a Professor of Geology or Mining, what is Mining?The definition will reach four pages I guess!But in the real sense of it, Mining is digging or excavating out the solid Minerals within the earthcrust or working on or further distegration of bigger Boulders into small pieces and bringing the smaller pieces for laboratory analysis before separation and then crushing into powders,in some cases sieviing is applied.Honestly I am writing this out of hands without google or consulting any books!We must approach things in a practical aspect of it,we must wake up every morning and begin to explore on our lands,by doing these,you are Mining.Kudos to the present Governor Oyetola that is exposing people into Mining through our own mama J.L. Lawoyin the consultant general on Mining,this is a woman that is encouraging all and sundry especially the Yorubas and our teeming unemployed youths to come unto mining and make a living!The credit goes to God and her for also encouraging a vibrant,resourceful and meaningful Osun State Miners Association & Union.It is an open secret and fact that there is no association like this before that have gone viral to expose and educate people on Mining.Whe the inspiration came to me from God,I worked a bit on it, make a brief defence of.it in the Ministry of environment and approached her and she immediately jumped at it and encouraged me in all ramification,all she wanted is for the young struggling and brilliant youth to succeed and grow!What a woman of God.I hope our Leaders in Southwest will learn from Mama J. Lawoyin and get out from the woods of pettiness & selfishness as well as also begin to develop men and women and by so doing,they will be developing their own future as well because whatever you sow, you shall reap indeed.You cant run away from it.Mining goes beyond buying and selling of Gold,silver, diamond, gemstones alone,you need to know it's exploration and exploitation processes as it will aid your knowledge on the technicalities of it's processes and location as well as Government interests,laws,demacation and cadastral pinning!I encourage all and sundry to let us seize this golden opportunity, rolled up our sleeves and for the next another six months,we can be able to look back and say we have turn State of Osun to a state of Mining Business with alot of economic benefits.Everybody cone and be part of our association & Union,even from outside the country,you are all welcome,we will teach you and show you the way of Mining and it's wealth creation.By the grace of God,our association & Union will be hosting the first ever Miners Week in the state of Osun in August this year.Thank you all.
