Oftentimes, When people hear the word “recoating,” they sometimes think it simply means putting a fresh layer of paint on an old roof but it is much more than that.

WHAT IS ROOF RECOATING?
Roof recoating is the process of applying a thick, liquid-form protective membrane such as; silicone, acrylic, or elastomeric coating directly over an existing, structurally sound roof. It is the process of applying a new protective coating over an existing roof surface to restore and improve its protective properties.
Unlike a full roof tear-off and replacement, recoating does not disrupt the core underlying structure. Instead, the surface is thoroughly pressure-washed, repairs are made to any cracks or seams, and the liquid membrane is rolled or sprayed on. As it cures, it forms a seamless, monolithic, and fully waterproof barrier across the entire roof surface.
