We will try to get better at posting cases from our daily work 🐎 Here is an example of the talented dressage rider Dressurrytter Emma Skov and her lovely horse Cracker, which we have the big pleasure of working with 🐎💫. Read about Emmas experience here:
“Fiona from Equi-tech is an important part of our team. We got introduced to Fiona and 3D (UTC) scanning, when we got an injured horse who had been recommended box rest for several months. The diagnosis was not clear, and we felt a need to get a more clear mapping of the injury, which Fiona and her team could help with. The result of the 3D scanning revealed that we were lucky and ”only” had an injury and swelling from an external impact. We got a detailed plan for how to work Cracker, and focused shockwave therapy for 14 days before a control scan. The control scan was positive, we got a new plan and followed up with less frequent shockwave. A few weeks later we entered the U25 danish championships, was placed as number 5 and got selected to represent Denmark at the Nordic Championships later that summer.
We continued to optimize him with shockwave and monitor with control scans, to make sure we had tendons and ligaments under control. We made a detailed plan towards the championships. As we wanted to give him the best possible conditions to move and develop, we started using Equi-tech´s Electrotherapy, which activates the nerves and musculature. With this we could also activate his muscles without loading his legs with as much. We also learned some exersizes from Fiona, to supplement our training and improve his body. We could clearly see and feel an improvement in Crackers movements after starting with the electrotherapy and exersizes. This was also seen at competitions, where we got a markedly higher score in walk than ever before. The summer gave us a 5th place at the national championships, a double gold medal at the nordic baltic championships and a 4th place for teams at the Europeans. Cracker has not had a day with lameness since, and he keeps improving in his body every month, and there is no remnant swelling where the injury was.
Fiona has become an important part of our team and how we work.”
