Starting this week, the Norwegian Cancer Society will run its annual campaign, “Krafttak mot kreft” — a funding drive for research to halt metastasis cancer. The research is of future benefit for all, and the Aker family wants to make a solid effort in the fight against cancer💪👊🏼

For å redusere vårt CO2-utslipp og effektivisere krillfisket i Antarktis har Aker BioMarine tatt i bruk droneteknologi 🌊🦐

«Krillen i Sørishavet går i stim, og i dette svære havområdet kan leting etter gode forekomster ta opp til flere dager for fangstfartøyene, og gjerne i et begrenset område. Med seilbøyene kan vi dekke større områder, noe som både vil effektivisere vårt fiske og samtidig gi oss større innsikt i hvordan krillbestanden utvikler seg og gi bedre kunnskapsgrunnlag for forvaltning av denne ressursen. Det bidrar også til å redusere CO2-fotavtrykket fra fisket, siden dette er nullutslippsfarkoster. Visjonen er at all kartlegging av krillforekomster skal foregå med autonome farkoster. Da kan de store fiskefartøy prioritere det de er best til, nemlig fangst og produksjon. Det sparer også klimautslipp» - forteller Frank Grebstad, SVP Vessel Operations i Aker Biomarine⭐️
