Turn up your sound for this one: It's time for hotfire summer! 🔥

☀️ Spring time means only one thing for Norway's rocket teams - It's time to fire up some rocket engines. Before this summer's competitions and test launches, a key ingredient in every rocketry project is test-firing its rocket engine. For a liquid rocket engine, this means running fuel and oxidiser into a chamber and igniting it - resulting, hopefully, in thrust (and a ton of flames!). It's hard not to get excited.

Have a look below at how it looked when one of our oldest member organisation fired up their 7.5 kN engine, and stay tuned for their full duration test coming up! ⬇️

🏔️ Bærekraftig utvikling er viktig på land og i vann, men hvordan gjør man egentlig det i verdensrommet? 🚀🪐

Studentene på utvider horisontene med den nye foreningen , som utvikler Norges grønneste satellitt! 🛰️🌱 Gjennom materialvalg, smarte nyttelaster, oppfølging av bærekraftsmål og gode eksterne samarbeid sikter foreningen på å sende opp det som skal bli landets mest bærekraftige platform i verdensrommet.

Bergens høyeste punkt er ikke et fjell! 🏔️🚫
I hvertfall hvis den rykende ferske studentorganisasjonen Astro HVL får det som de vil. 🚀 Fra og med i år vil studenter for første gang utvikle, bygge og sende opp raketter fra Bergen, med mål om å nå høyere enn Vestlandets høyeste punkt.

🛰️ NORSTEC Receives funding from ! 👏

We're very excited to announce that the Norwegian Space Agency has granted funding for NORSTEC to create and run 'The Collective', our common shared digital platform where students and alumni can share ideas and solve problems together. This is an absolute key milestone for our mission, and we could not be more happy!
