🌟Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES)/Electric resistivity Tomography (ERT)🌟
Geophysical resistivity survey using VES/ERT are widely used technique in various fields such as geology, hydrogeology, engineering studies to investigate the subsurface properties of the earth.
ERT provides high-resolution, two-dimensional (2D) images of the subsurface that can reveal the layering, structure, and heterogeneity of the geological formations. VES provides a one-dimensional (1D) vertical profile of the subsurface, which can be used to identify the depth and thickness of different geological layers. ERT and VES are non-invasive geophysical techniques and are more cost effective than traditional drilling and sampling methods.

Addon Engineering Solution has successfully conducted Geophysical Survey (ERT/VES) for Deep Tubewell Irrigation Project in different locations 🇳🇵(Kaligandaki -7, Syangja; Shuklagandaki -9, Tanahun; Ghiring -1, Tanahun and Aabukhaireni-2, Tanahun) and recommended the depth for groundwater exploitation.

🌟 ERT of 33/11KV Substation! 🌟
Addon Engineering Solution has successfully conducted the Electrical Resistivity Test (ERT) of 33/11 KV substations in 🇳🇵Dharapani of Rukumkot District, 🇳🇵Sillegadha of Baitadi District and 🇳🇵Bhalubang of Dang District.
This test is conducted to determine the Electrical resistivity of soil required for designing a safety-grounding system for the entire station area, which is essential for the proper operation and protection of the substation.

The key steps involved are:
➡️Identify the location of the grounding system.
➡️Clear the site area to ensure proper electrode placement.
➡️Mark locations for the current injection electrodes and potential measurement electrodes.
➡️Set up the test equipments and ensure the electrodes are properly inserted into the ground to establish good electrical contact.
➡️Inject test current and measure the voltage drop to calculate the ground resistance
Repeat the measurements at multiple electrode positions to cover the survey area.
➡️Compile the test result and process the data to compute the apparent soil resistivity at each measurement locations.
➡️Document the test procedure, findings and recommendations.
