Civil Initiative (CI) finally held its in-person board meeting, including project team leads. The board invited the Civil Scholarship and IAESTE project leads to present the project's status in the meeting. In response to the project leads' briefing, the meeting discussed the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic and ways to mitigate them. As the Covid restrictions have been relaxed lately, the board instructed the project teams to carry forward the projects with due priority. CI family reiterated its commitment to work on its mission and thanked its beneficiaries and other supporting stakeholders for their patience during the pandemic. CI thanks all participants for their time and valuable input in the meeting.

Civil Initiative (CI) congratulates IAESTE for its President participating in the 2022 regular session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and making very important recommendations.

IAESTE has had consultative status with since 1963, and got granted general status in 2019. Currently, only 140 out of total 6110 NGOs in the world have this highest level of NGO accreditation with ECOSOC.

CI is proud to be the representative of IAESTE in Nepal and will keep working on empowering youth in the fields of science, technology and arts.

Nepal has good news that anyone fully vaccinated can enter Nepal without any PCR Test and quarantine requirement. Please see attached the Government advisory.

Incoming Nominations:
We have extended the deadline for the offers we exchanged with us to 31st March 2022 and updated this on the EP. We can help you more if exceptional cases need further consideration. Please write to us if there is extra help needed.

Outgoing Nominations:
We have started to send our students' documents to you for the offers you exchanged with Nepal. However, we are aware that this takes more time than anticipated because of various technical reasons.

Our national committee had decided to have a seminar and meet-up program with all the interested applicants with all the previous alumni and IAESTE Nepal officials and clarify any confusion regarding the application and its process.
We have decided that all the current COVID-19 protocols shall be maintained and only 25 students shall be allowed at a time. The students can arrive and meet representatives from IAESTE Nepal and alumni any time they are available.
