Four months ago, Metro projects Ltd team commenced works at Orewa Beach School, and what an incredible journey it has been. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗽.

From day one, we've felt genuinely welcomed and supported by the School Board, Management team, teachers and staff, who helped us deliver the works while minimising disruption to students.

We were also privileged to host local 𝗠𝗣 Mark Mitchell Mark Mitchell on site and showcase the positive impact these upgrades will have for the school and wider community.

A huge thank you to the Ministry of Education Ministry of Education – New Zealand, the Orewa Beach School team, and all of our dedicated subcontractors and suppliers.

It’s Not every day that the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Christopher Luxon takes a selfie with you... and does it using their very own hands!!

A great experience, some valuable conversations, and a reminder that genuine leadership often comes with humility and approachability.

A privilege to welcome 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐏 𝐇𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 to Orewa Beach School today to view the refurbishment works currently being delivered by Metro Projects as 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 for Ministry of Education New Zealand.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the importance of investing in 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 and the positive impact that modern, healthy learning environments have on students, teachers, and the wider community. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠, recognising that well-maintained, modern and healthy educational facilities play a vital role in supporting student achievement and creating opportunities for future generations.

At Metro Projects, we are passionate about delivering safe, functional, and inspiring spaces that enable students to thrive. Metro projects Ltd is Proud to mark the successful & Timely completion of the refurbishment works at 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 for Auckland Council.

This project involved careful restoration and upgrading of key community spaces, helping preserve an important local asset while improving its functionality and presentation for the many groups and residents who use the facility.

A big thank you to PM Spencer Myer from Auckland Council for the opportunity, the lovely Architect Martin Varney and his team at MAKE Architects for their guidance & support, our project partners & subcontractors for their commitment and collaboration throughout the works.

We're pleased to see this iconic community venue ready to serve the Mount Albert and wider Auckland community for years to come.

We are progressing strongly and remain firmly on programme to deliver what is shaping up to be one of our most iconic and high-impact projects for Auckland Council to date. This project reflects the scale, quality, and attention to detail that define Metro projects Ltd - Auckland , and stands as a clear demonstration of our capability to transform prominent community spaces into modern, functional, and visually striking environments.

This project delivers more than an upgrade—it revitalises a key community hub, enhances usability and accessibility, preserves heritage character, and creates a high-quality space that strengthens community engagement while providing long-term value for Auckland Council.

We extend our sincere appreciation & thanks to the project architects Make Architects for giving us an opportunity to be involved in this project and their vision, design leadership, and collaborative approach throughout the delivery of this space. The thoughtful design has enabled us to bring this hall to life—balancing functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal while respecting the character of the building.

recently delivered the 𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of a boundary wall identified as a Potential failure risk on 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲.
The works required 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 planning, including 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞, ensuring public safety while maintaining network efficiency.
Despite the constraints of working within an active corridor, the project was delivered 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to the surrounding community.
The existing wall had deteriorated to a point where it posed a 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬𝐞, requiring immediate intervention to ensure public safety.
We appreciate the continued collaboration with and in delivering safe and resilient infrastructure outcomes.
