Harlequins RFC Blenheim are preparing to field 120 juniors registered across eight teams, alongside a Scott Construction Senior A side with plenty of new blood joins experienced operators - and the club is hoping for many successful Saturdays across the region this rugby season.

Last year we were delighted to be selected via Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to build the Marlborough Research Centre Experimental Future Vineyard. After successfully completing significant inground works, its exciting to see the structure now well advanced. This project is situated immediately north of the 5 Green Star Bragato Research Institute Winery that we successfully delivered in the weeks leading up to the first lockdown in 2020.

Many thanks to Carters our Building Partner for providing lunch at last weeks SCM field trip to our Summerset Blenheim Site. Also thanks to our Foreman Mat for the informative guided tour for our office and site personnel that haven't previously worked on this site. Amazing to see that after starting in late January, that we are already about 80% through the 36 units of the Stage 1 Villas. We've also completed additional works including the Staff Amenities Shelter, Pump Shed and Temporary Recreational Facility as well. We are ahead of the contract programme and have accelerated when asked on several occasions this year. Well done to all involved.

We're rapidly nearing completion of Boyd Wilson Electrical' s New Offices and Workshop in Renwick. This project is a great example of the benefit of having competent designers and a decisive client who put the time and effort in at the front end.
Comparatively low number of design queries and very few variations across the trades.
It also reflects the 'best for project' mindset of engaging reputable local subtrades that do what they say and to a high standard.
Colin and our team are still working to the original completion date. It's a pleasant change to be able to deliver a project post-covid without having to update the programme every 5 minutes due to supply chain delays.
