🍂 There’s nothing quite like coming home to a view like this. I love this time of year and I had to stop and grab a photo of the stunning autumn colors before the winter chill sets in and the trees lose their leaves completely.

🍁 Our client's vision for this property began in the nineties. They carefully transformed marshland into a tranquil private lake, framed by Canadian maples and New Zealand native trees.

🍁 The bespoke floating summer house, 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝘇 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 to compliment the Modern Farmhouse we also built, is a reflection of timeless design and skilled workmanship. Every detail has been considered from proportion and placement to craftsmanship and finish, resulting a space that enhances the landscape rather than competes with it.

⚫️ Historically the dilapidated 1950’s Horahora Memorial Hall had been an integral part of the community, and the remit was to bring her back to her former glory to continue to serve the community for many more generations.
-
⚫️ This extensive renovation by Finz Carpentry included a full re-roof and service upgrades including drainage, plumbing and electrical. Additionally, new insulation, interior reline, acoustic baffles on the ceiling, upgrades to toilet and kitchen facilities and timber floor resurfacing. Externally, the large damaging treeline was removed and a spacious 65m2 entranceway extension with decking and balustrade.

⚫ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲

This Waihi beach house sits nestled behind a large pohutukawa on a steep hill making the building process quite complex and challenging. We built a split level home with raking, angular walls to maximise the space and the views whilst staying within caveat restrictions of this beautiful neighborhood. It is unassuming, blending in with the nature around it yet it still meets all the needs of a family of four as a home or vacation spot.
