In partnership with Connetics, we're proud to be powering Christchurch City Council's Tātai Whetū, Tātai Tangata celebration.

Tātai Whetū, Tātai Tangata is a celebration of light, animation, entertainment and storytelling. The event hub is located at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, with installations and experiences along Worcester Boulevard.

This year, we're adding a little extra sparkle with our light installation. You'll find it glowing outside the Christchurch Art Gallery, ready to light up your evening and be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

Wrap up warm, gather your family and whānau for an evening of connection, celebration and wonder as we honour Matariki together.

Enjoy the light show from 8-11 July, 5pm to 9pm. ✨

This year, we’re excited to be part of Mānawatia a Matariki, a special Matariki celebration run by Selwyn District Council at Rolleston Town Centre (behind Te Ara Ātea) contributing to a meaningful moment of reflection, connection, and community.

Mānawatia a Matariki is on from Friday 26 – Sunday 28 June from 5pm.

Heading along? Keep an eye out for our light installation, designed to represent the spirit of Matariki and bring a little extra magic to the experience.
