You never know what you’ll find behind old wallpaper…

This week we started preparing a room for fresh wallpaper and uncovered a little surprise…

“Craig 2009.”

If you’re out there, Craig… we found your signature! 😄

We also discovered the walls hadn’t been sized before the wallpaper was installed, which made removing it a much bigger job than it needed to be.

It was a great reminder that the work you don’t see is often just as important as the finished result.

Before new wallpaper could be installed, the walls were skimmed and carefully prepared to create a smooth, even surface ready for their new look.

A quality finish doesn’t start with the wallpaper…

It starts with the preparation underneath.

🖤 Black soffits… one of the most underrated features on a modern home.

When people think about a new build, they usually notice the cladding, the stonework or the front door.

But one detail that can completely change the look of a home?

Black soffits.

They create crisp, clean lines, add depth to the roofline and give the entire exterior a modern, architectural finish. It’s a subtle feature, but one that makes a big impact.

We recently had the pleasure of completing the painting package on this stunning Latitude Homes build, and we think the finished result speaks for itself.

Four years ago, SPD began with a small setup and a big vision.

What has followed has been years of hard work, sacrifice, determination, and a team committed to building something bigger. Over the past two years, Southland Community House has been an important part of that journey, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve had there along the way.

Now, we’re ready for the next chapter.

This is more than a move.
