A bit of behind-the-scenes refrigerant recovery ❄️🔧

There’s more to refrigeration work than keeping things cold. Recovering refrigerant into dedicated cylinders is an important part of servicing and decommissioning equipment, helping prevent its release into the atmosphere.

For commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service in Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty, get in touch with Prograde Refrigeration.

Rotorua’s geothermal environment is tough on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Sulphur in the air can cause severe corrosion, sometimes within months.

These photos show the difference: a unit damaged by corrosion alongside equipment receiving protective treatment. Treating exposed components helps give them a better chance of lasting in these conditions.

If you’re installing or maintaining equipment in a geothermal area, get in touch with Prograde Refrigeration.

Keeping the local milk run cool 🥛❄️🚚

This refrigerated transport truck for Volcanic Creamery was in need of a new compressor, so we retrofitted an aftermarket compressor to suit the existing refrigeration system.

A few custom modifications later and it’s back up and running, keeping their locally delivered glass-bottled milk cold and ready for the next run.🔧❄️
