Wee bit of a tidy up in the usual places around the boot cut the rust and replace with new steel .

The front end needed a slight tweaking and the engine bag will get a good tidy up she should end up a nice wee runner you might even see it hooning the streets of blenheim.

Safe to say Hamish the 70 likes to dip his bum in the mud !! Some fresh steel some new added drain holes and a good internal seal up and of course some fire truck mipa red and Hamish is ready for more adventures.

Still some panels to be completed ,
The body has headed back to the workshop for assembly then sign writing
can't wait to see it sitting on the ground with the wheels tucked up under the gaurds .

Misty mysterious mistral. Like a phoenix!!
This 1963 Nz built mistral racecar Was a privilege to do a wee colab on for the boys at DS AUTO LTD
I had the job of making it look better and more red .
We stripped it down gave it a good clean and got to work.
I was the panel be**er, painter & sign writer on this one and it turned out not bad no welding or hitting it with a hammer being its fiberglass but was still alot of fun had on this one .

Its nice to slow down and see beauty in imperfection . .or the art in something you might see everyday and take for gran...
