Storms expose the problems you didn’t know you had.

After the recent weather around the Bay, we’ve had a run of calls for leaking brick homes and damp block bases.

A lot of older homes (60s–90s) were built without proper waterproofing between the brickwork and block base — so when the rain hits sideways, water finds its way in.

We’ve been sorting a few of these lately — cutting back, repairing the damage, and installing proper waterproofing so it’s fixed for good, not just patched.

Signs to watch for:
• Damp or musty smells
• Water staining on lower walls
• Cracking at the base of brickwork
• Leaks showing up during heavy rain

If something’s shown up after the storms, don’t leave it.
