Our team was recently down in Queenstown completing three defits for three different clients.

Here are some after photos from the partial defit of the Bendon Outlet, completed for Trust Projects.

Scope of works included:
• Exterior signage removal
• Removal of all fixtures and fittings
• Removal of selected counters and back-of-house shelving
• Remedial plastering

This project was completed in under two days, showcasing our team’s ability to deliver high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.

We were recently engaged by Datum Projects to assist with the food court refurbishment at Centre Place in Hamilton.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Our scope included:
Removing existing bench seats from two separate locations
Safely relocating selected benches to the basement for future reuse

Efficient, tidy, and completed to keep the refurbishment moving forward without delay.

Another week, another transformation at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre

We teamed up again with Retail Project Management for a partial defit of Maher, preparing the space for its upcoming refit and refreshed store concept.

Scope of works included:

Removal of shopfront and signage
Removal of wall units and all shelving (front of house & back of house)
Demolition of one internal wall and one data wall
Carpet removal and floor grinding to a carpet-ready finish
Returning the tenancy to a clean, empty shell, ready for the next fit-out phase

Ceilings and lighting were retained to integrate into the new store design.

Big thanks to RPM for another smooth, well-coordinated project, we appreciate the continued partnership and look forward to the next one.

From Kitchen Things North Shore Defit (featured in another video) to Queen Street, Auckland CBD, it’s been a massive start to the year for January.

At Queens Arcade , we carried out the full defit of Christian Louboutin for Datum Projects Limited. This included removal of both the Queen Street exterior shopfront and the interior mall frontage. We also built new hoardings, setting the site up for its next chapter.
Five stores along the left-hand side of Queen’s Arcade will soon become one massive jewellery store.

To wrap up the month, we were at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre defitting Platypus and SKECHERS for Buildnz
Works included:

Removing all fixtures and fittings

Removing all flooring

Replacing and plastering gib tenancy walls to make-good condition

Floor grinding and patching holes

we also upcycled all back-of-house racking in both tenancies

We then removed the data wall between Skechers and Sony for RPM, followed by removal of Sony’s back-of-house room, ceiling, and all three shopfronts. RPM is now building a new data wall to split the combined space into two new tenancies, new stores opening soon

Anddd we’re back for 2026
Our team stayed busy right through Christmas and New Year, kicking off early January with a full defit of the former Kitchen Things North Shore at 60 Constellation Drive, Rosedale.

Working on behalf of the landlord, we stripped the space back to a true blank slate. we removed all interior and exterior signage, furniture, cabinetry, offices, kitchens, walls, mesh ceiling tiles (all recycled), and tile flooring across the entire shop. The floor was then ground back to a carpet-ready finish.

One of the bonuses on this job was full truck access inside the building, allowing us to load materials and debris straight from site. We were also able to drive alongside the Sherpa machine as tiles were removed, keeping the process fast and efficient.

As the business had gone into liquidation, there were plenty of reusable items left behind. All glassware and kitchenware were donated to local op shops and charities, and furniture, office desks, and supplies were donated to the legends at Abilities Group

2025 has been a huge year for our team.

From major projects like The Warehouse Pakuranga and Smith & Caughey’s Queen Street, to removing concrete walls and 40ft containers, it’s been a year of doing a bit of everything.

With over 1,000 jobsite photos taken, this timelapse shows just some of the many before-and-afters from across the country.

This year we’ve delivered:
• Full store defits
• Support for store refits
• Signage removal
• Waterblasting & painting
• Rubbish removal
• Racking removal & installation
• Floor grinding
• And much more

We’ve travelled up and down the country, completing projects in 10+ cities, including:
Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Taupō, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch, Nelson, Dunedin & Queenstown.

Our 10 company-branded vehicles have covered a combined 200,000km nationwide this year.

A massive thank you to our incredible staff, clients, and subcontractors for the hard work and support throughout 2025.

2025 has been a huge year for our team.

From major projects like The Warehouse Pakuranga and Smith & Caughey’s Queen Street, to removing concrete walls and 40ft containers, it’s been a year of doing a bit of everything. Over 30 timelapse videos were made this year to showcase each site and our involvement with these projects. More to come next year.

We’ve delivered full store defits, supported store refits, and handled signage removal, water blasting, painting, rubbish removal, racking removal & installation,floor grinding and much more

Sustainability stayed front and centre this year;
• Donated cabinetry and building materials to local communities
• Helped clients auction off equipment
• Upcycled materials wherever possible
• Recycled 65 tonnes of concrete and hardfill into new concrete
• Recycled 64 tonnes of timber into mulch and bark
• Removed 549 tonnes of debris, sent to our partners at Green Gorilla, diverting up to 80% from landfill
