If you watched Grand Designs on Sunday, you may have noticed our scaffolding!

This architectural home is located on the beachfront in the heart of Omaha, giving it unparalleled views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape.

We worked alongside the wonderful team from Dysart Construction Ltd, providing their build team with height access on what was a tricky and interesting project which spanned over two years.

At Metroscaff, safety means more than just harnesses and hard hats.

This World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the focus turns to the psychosocial side of safety. These are the factors you can't always see, but have just as much of an impact.

A balanced workload. Feeling supported. Having clarity in their role and expectations. Fairness. When these are missing in the workplace, they don't just affect morale, they can become safety hazards.

We believe that a team member who feels valued, heard, and clear on their role is a safer worker. So Metroscaff doesn't just invest in the right PPE and height safety training, we invest just as much in the things that aren't as visible.

In practice, for us that looks like weekly toolbox meetings, creating a "speak-up" culture, fair pay, regular check-ins on individual team members, investment in training, and clear pathways for career progression.

We are committed, not just today, but every day, to Health & Safety in the workplace and to the safety and wellbeing of our people.

Spot us on Constellation Drive, Albany! 🙌

Our team loved tackling this one — scaffolding erected to install large digital advertising screens for local businesses, plus temporary fencing to keep the site safe and secure.

Metroscaff was founded in 2006 by Peter and Wanda Van Berkel. In 2022, they passed the baton on to their nephews Ash and Paul, keeping the business where they intended it to be: with the family.

Brothers Paul and Ash are the directors, but don't let the title fool you. On any given day you'll find them out on site with the crew, helping load trucks, or connecting with our customers. Claire, Ash's wife, manages the office, so when we say family-run, we mean it!

That same family ethos extends to the wider team. We want everyone who works at Metroscaff to feel a genuine sense of pride, passion, and ownership, and for our customers to see that come through in our work.

We all look forward to working with you on your next project.
