This is our very own personal home renovation journey. My very patient wife and two daughters lived in the house while we demolished, rebuilt and fully renovated it around them. To make things more interesting we live down a long shared driveway. Planning and communication were critical throughout the build to ensure the many moving parts lined up.
We dug under the house and into the bank to create a large internal access garage and a ground floor living area. This added substantial structure, support and drainage to the foundations of the house. We added a bedroom and an office to the top level. Every window and door was replaced with new double glazed aluminium joinery. We put a brand new roof on and painted both the interior and exterior so we felt like we had a brand new home.
