🌍 Wafi-Golpu Mining Project – PNG’s Next Big Copper-Gold Mine ⛏️💰

Located just 65km from Lae in Morobe Province, the Wafi-Golpu Project is one of Papua New Guinea’s largest undeveloped copper and gold mines. Owned by Harmony Gold and Newmont, this world-class project includes three deposits: Golpu, Wafi, and Nambonga - rich in hard-rock gold and copper.

🪙 Estimated to hold 11 million oz of gold and 4.9 million tonnes of copper, the project will use underground block-cave mining, with a planned mine life of 28 years.
