The company is a local land owner company of the local land owners of Apalaka Village within the Porgera Valley, of the Special Mine Lease Area, specifically Zone seven (7). as a Plant and Equipment hire company, initially and later ventured into Heavy Engineering and Construction Works both in the green field and brown field environments within the mineral extractive industry. WK Construction Limited has its main office in LAE, Morobe Province, and operates also from project site office in; Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province and Paiam Town – Porgera Enga Province

Dear Friends,

All we know is that a skeleton staffing is doing maintenance or general clean during this period.
While we are not sure of the exact date when Porgera Mine will resume full operation and production.
We anticipate that PNG Government authorities, Barrick Gold, representatives of Kumul Mineral Holdings Limited and Mineral Resources Enga Limited will announce the exact date and hopefully early next year, 2022.

At this stage, if anyone wishes to apply direct for jobs with Porgera Joint Venture, he/she may be asked to join one of the Local Contractors such as WK Construction Limited to be employed as Contingent Workers.

In anticipation and to get ourselves ready and prepared to supply our skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled contingent workers to Porgera Joint Venture as usual, we are inviting contingent worker applicants via social media and public notice boards.

NOTE: There is NO CLOSING DATE for your applications as this an ongoing project, training program and contract for the life of the mine or until further notice.
