We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic ESTIMATOR / PROCUREMENT CO-ORDINATOR to join our team.
The role is responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with a project and ensure the timely procurement of materials.
To be a successful applicant you must:
• Have an understanding of the scope of work and preparation for estimations, be able to identify the labour, materials, and time requirements needed, in order to prepare the quote or tendering documents
• Understanding of construction methodologies
• Effectively communicate with subcontractors, vendors, owners and other relevant parties to define project scope and identify potential issues.
• Be able to maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data
• Establish and maintain working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Direct and coordinate buying and distribution of materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain, record and organise inventory at base and onsite
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Skills needed:
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and develop cost estimates
• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project processes
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
• Impeccable problem-solving skills Good communication skills
• Experience in construction estimating
• Proven Estimating Experience
