Forging a Stronger Workforce: TECCHNO LEAN Welders Earn SMAW NC II Certification

‎GENERAL SANTOS CITY, July 5, 2026 — A significant milestone was achieved by TECCHNO LEAN as five of its welding personnel successfully completed the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II training under the Mobile Training Program of the TESDA Training Center – General Santos City (TTC GSC) and earned the highly valued National Certificate (NC) II.

TECCHNO Lean Extends Support to Earthquake-Affected Communities Through TESDA PO SarGen

In a show of solidarity and compassion for families affected by the recent earthquake in Sarangani Province and General Santos City, TECCHNO Lean Industrial Devt. Inc. donated several boxes of canned tuna to the TESDA Provincial Office of Sarangani–General Santos City (TESDA SarGen) on June 22, 2026.

The donation was formally handed over by Engr. Herbert P. Seloterio, PME, TECCHNO LEAN President, to Engr. Alikhan Rasuman, Administrative Officer V, on behalf of TESDA PO SarGen. The food donation will form part of the relief support intended for earthquake-affected communities in the province and city.

TESDA SarGen expresses its heartfelt gratitude to TECCHNO Lean for its generosity and commitment to helping communities recover from the effects of the disaster. This meaningful contribution demonstrates the importance of collaboration between industry partners and government institutions in providing timely assistance to those in need.

More than 50 industry partners converged on March 25, 2026, at Sarangani Highlands in General Santos City for the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Forum and Consultation. This is an initiative of TESDA Region XII under the leadership of Acting Regional Director Remegias Timonio, Ed.D. , that aims to strengthen industry-driven skills development.

At the forefront of the engagement was TESDA Deputy Director General Nelly Nita N. Dillera, who emphasized the critical role of industry participation in shaping a responsive and future-ready workforce.

Among the participating organizations, TECCHNO Lean marked its presence through Engr. Herbert P. Seloterio, Company President, and Mr. Hilario P. Seloterio, Company Field Officer. Their participation signifies an important first step toward gaining an in-depth understanding of EBET - laying the groundwork for the company’s transition into an active EBET industry partner.

As industries and government continue to align their efforts, initiatives like EBET highlight a shared commitment: Bridging skills development with real-world enterprise needs.

Hands on industry exposure for NDDU Senior High School Aurora Batch 4.

During their immersion at Techno Lean Industrial Dev’t. Inc., the students were introduced to fundamental metal fabrication processes, including basic welding operations, equipment handling, and safety practices within an actual industrial workshop environment.

The NDDU SHS Aurora Batch 3 students actively participated in hands on industrial activities at Techno Lean, including metal bending, machine operation, and basic equipment handling.

Through guided practice and close supervision, the students applied theoretical concepts in a real work environment, strengthening their technical competencies, safety awareness, and appreciation of industrial processes.
