Warmest congratulations to the newly Licensed Civil Engineers! As part of the construction Industry, We celebrate your success and look forward to seeing the Structures you will build for our Communities. 🫡

Jonathan Conrad Yu is this year’s topnotcher, ranking first among the twelve top performers. He is the pride of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, earning a 91.76% rating in the Civil Engineers Licensure Examination.

The CELE is the fifth hardest licensure exam in the Philippines, with only 30.39% of examinees passing. A total of 9,775 failed the exam, while only 4,268 passed out of 14,043 examinees nationwide.

Nine of the twelve topnotchers came from the provinces, proving that academic excellence is not limited to Manila. These results challenge the stereotype that only Manila schools produce top-performing students, showing that many outstanding and hardworking students are now in the provinces.

Meanwhile, only UP Diliman achieved an impressive 95.18% passing rate, and no other school with at least 50 examinees reached the 80% mark.

A newly licensed civil engineer in the Philippines usually earns between ₱18,000 and ₱28,000 per month. Some companies in major cities offer starting salaries of ₱30,000 to ₱35,000. Civil engineers working abroad often earn the equivalent of ₱70,000 to ₱120,000 per month.

Civil engineers design, build, and maintain structures such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. They prepare plans and drawings for construction projects. They supervise construction sites to ensure safety and quality. They inspect completed structures to confirm they are strong and safe. They also estimate the cost, materials, and schedule of each project.
