“Paano kami? Mare-rehire pa ba kami?”

According to Marbie L. Cabardo, Customer Service Assistant Manager of Negros Power and former CENECO Employee & Union President, this was one of the biggest concerns employees had before the JVA.

But after meeting with Prime Electric President and CEO Roel Z. Castro, they received this assurance:

“May assurance na yes, we will rehire you. You are the top priority.”

For years, SOCOTECO II has faced serious financial and technical challenges—from mounting losses, aging distribution facilities, rising electricity demand, and the urgent need for billions of pesos in capital investments to modernize its power system.

These challenges cannot simply be ignored. They require a long-term, sustainable solution.

The proposed 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐉𝐕𝐀) with IGNITE Power offers a path toward a stronger and more reliable electric distribution system. Under this proposal, IGNITE Power will infuse much-needed capital, modernize substations and distribution lines, improve system reliability, reduce outages, strengthen customer service, offer affordable rates, and support the growing power needs of General Santos City, Polomolok, Tupi, and Sarangani Province.

Most importantly, the agreement is conditional—meaning it will only proceed if it receives the approval of the majority of SOCOTECO II’s Member-Consumer-Owners through the upcoming plebiscite.

🗳️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. This is your opportunity to help shape the future. A reliable, modern, and financially stable electric distribution system is essential to economic growth, job creation, and a better quality of life.

Companies under the Razon Group have mobilized relief efforts in Mindanao following the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck the region last Monday, bringing much-needed assistance to communities heavily affected by the disaster.

The relief operation was led by our mother company-Primelectric, ICTSI, and Manila Water, which spearheaded the distribution of cash assistance and essential relief supplies to local government units in Sarangani, South Cotabato, and General Santos City area.

The assistance was intended to support local governments and affected residents as they continue recovery and rehabilitation efforts in the aftermath of the powerful earthquake.

Among the items that were quickly provided were fuel for the generator sets to help restore critical services, as well as bottled drinking water, rice, canned goods, and other essential supplies for displaced families and communities affected by the disaster. Manila Water deployed one of its Mobile Water Treatment Plants to the area as well. Primelectric also distributed solar lamps and industrial fans to make it more convenient for those staying in evacuation centers.

The Razon Group’s response came amid ongoing relief and recovery operations across the region, where local authorities and humanitarian organizations have been working to address the immediate needs of affected residents.
