Maguindanao Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MAGELCO) was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation during the Task Force Kapatid M7.8 Mindanao Earthquake Appreciation Ceremony held on June 19, 2026, at the SOCOTECO II Solidarity Gym in General Santos City.

The recognition was awarded in grateful acknowledgment of MAGELCO’s unwavering commitment, invaluable support, and dedicated service in helping restore electric power to earthquake-affected communities in Sarangani Province. It also recognized the professionalism, compassion, solidarity, and cooperative spirit demonstrated by MAGELCO personnel throughout the emergency response and restoration operations.

Representing MAGELCO during the ceremony were Acting General Manager Suraina M. Kalid, ISD Manager Dorena B. Garcia, TSD Manager Rene D. Malana, and FSD Manager Rasul T. Adzal, together with the MAGELCO linemen who proudly served as members of Task Force Kapatid.

MAGELCO extends its heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated linemen whose selfless service and commitment contributed significantly to the successful restoration of power and the recovery of affected communities. Their efforts embody the true spirit of public service and cooperation among electric cooperatives.

This recognition stands as a testament to MAGELCO’s continuing commitment to delivering reliable electric service and responding effectively to the needs of communities, especially during times of crisis.

The MAGELCO Warriors of Light – Task Force Kapatid continue to stand in solidarity with our fellow electric cooperatives as they help restore power in areas affected by the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake in General Santos City and nearby communities.

MAGELCO personnel and equipment have been deployed to the franchise area of South Cotabato II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOCOTECO II) to assist in ongoing rehabilitation and power restoration activities.

Their dedication and commitment reflect the spirit of cooperation and service that drives the rural electrification sector.

We salute our Warriors of Light for their tireless efforts in bringing power back to the affected communities. 💡⚡

In line with the directives of the National Electrification Administration (NEA), the MAGELCO's Task Force Kapatid is en route to General Santos City to assist our brother electric cooperative, SOCOTECO-II, in its ongoing earthquake emergency response and power restoration operations in the affected areas of their coverage areas.

This deployment reflects the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among electric cooperatives through Task Force Kapatid, working together to restore electricity and support communities impacted by the recent earthquake.

We pray for the safety of our brave linemen and all personnel involved in the restoration efforts. Together, we continue to bring light, hope, and service to our fellow Filipinos.

We will observe a 𝟐𝟒-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 to ensure stable operation. After the soaking period, load will be gradually connected so that electricity can be restored to the affected households.

Taos-puso rin po kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyong patuloy na pag-unawa, suporta, at pagtitiyaga habang isinasagawa ang mga kinakailangang hakbang para sa maayos na pagbabalik ng serbisyo.

Alhamdulillah, naisakay na po ang power transformer gamit ang crane heavy equipment upang maihatid ito sa Salbu Substation.
Maraming salamat po sa walang sawang pagtulong ng Province of Maguindanao del Sur, Province of Sultan Kudarat, Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative (SUKELCO), South Cotabato I Electric Cooperative (SOCOTECO-I), SEMECA, SEMRECA, at iba pang katuwang na pribadong entidad.

Ginagawa po natin ang lahat upang mapabilis ang restoration ng suplay ng kuryente.
