Job Summary:
Vertitech Industrial Solutions Inc. is looking for a Safety Officer 2 to ensure compliance with Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) standards, particularly in rope access operations. The ideal candidate will implement safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and oversee workplace safety in high-risk environments such as industrial maintenance, construction, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Implement and enforce COSH standards in compliance with DOLE regulations and industry best practices for rope access and working at heights.
•Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and hazard analysis specific to rope access operations.
•Develop and oversee emergency response and rescue procedures for rope access technicians.
•Conduct COSH safety training, toolbox meetings, and compliance briefings for employees
•Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective measures to prevent accidents.
•Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and certification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and rope access gear.
•Maintain records of safety reports, incident investigations, and compliance documentation.
•Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations for rope access operations.
Qualifications:
•Must be a Certified Safety Officer 2 with COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) certification.
•At least 1-2 years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in rope access, industrial maintenance, or construction.
•Strong knowledge of working at heights safety regulations, fall protection systems, and emergency rescue procedures.
•Familiarity with DOLE Department Order No. 13 and RA 11058 (An Act Strengthening Compliance with OSH Standards).
•Good communication and leadership skills in implementing safety programs.
•Ability to respond to workplace emergencies, conduct high-angle rescue operations, and administer first aid.
