“Be the kind of leader who helps others thrive. Lead with empathy, not just expertise. Choose progress over perfection. Treat wellness as a leadership value. And when things get uncertain, be the calm and clarity your teams need.”
That was Vivant Corporation President Emil Andre Garcia’s message during the Thrive 2.0 graduation, and it captured exactly what the journey was all about.
Over the last 7 months, our senior leaders committed to a different kind of development.
With the support of the Asian Institute of Management and EPIC Health, they took a step back from the day-to-day to focus on leadership presence, intentional habits, and personal well-being – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
For David Evangelista, SAVP – Business Development, that meant confronting the clutter and learning to lead with more focus: “The coaches made me see the clutter and see through them: to ask the more difficult question, to pinpoint problems, measure performance, track progress, recalibrate, rebalance, and be more intentional.”
By choosing wellness as a leadership value, our Well Leaders carry forward a culture where wellness drives performance, and care powers leadership.
