Our motorcycle emblems are made with plastic material that are more resistant to the heat of the Sun. Commonly used plastic like PLA has a glass transition temperature of 60-65°C. Glass transition temperature (Tg) is the temperature at which an plastic changes from a hard, glassy state to a soft, rubbery state as it is heated. This is a concern when the plastic would be subjected to continuous sunlight exposure most especially when in contact with metallic surfaces. With that in mind, we decided on a material that is more compatible with the environment and intended purpose ensuring that you receive a product that would last alongside with your motorcycle. For more protection, we highly suggest coating your emblem with UV protection clear coat to protect it from discoloration due to prolonged sunlight exposure.
