About last week… hindi kami nanalo sa raffle ng sasakyan. Nakakapagod pa naman magstamp. 😅

But honestly, that wasn’t the point.

Being part of the 51st United Architects of the Philippines National Convention at SMX Pasay was already a win. Three days of CPD talks, CONEX exhibits, and meaningful fellowship with fellow architects—all centered on going “Above and Beyond.”

We came for the learning, the connections, and the inspiration shaping the future of architecture.
(…and yes, for the CPD points too)

12 years, same spot—different story.

Our daughter was 2 then, just tagging along while we chased CPD points and kept her busy. Today, we stood at the same CONEX marker—only now, she’s grown and takes part of the experience.

From keeping her occupied to sharing the moment.

Her first and latest UAP NATCON—12 years apart. 😁

No art form has ever truly surpassed the beauty of a tree.

It is, in every way, art made by God.

There is something so quietly powerful about the presence of a tree. No matter how plain, empty, or ordinary a space may seem, a beautiful tree has the ability to gently and effortlessly transform it — adding depth, character, life, and meaning.

More than just beauty, a tree brings a kind of balance that is hard to explain but easy to feel — a warmth and coolness, softness and strength, stillness and life all at once.

A home, a building, a neighborhood, even the simplest corner of a park can be completely changed by the grace of a tree.

Sometimes, all a space really needs is life.
And often, life begins with a tree.

Happy Easter!

Dead spaces. This is what becomes of communities that are cut through with concrete overpasses. Bringing with it speeding cars and no safe room for pedestrians, a once brihght commmunity becomes no longer livable; a once communicating baranggay becomes silent with only deafening speeding vehicles. It was thought that these skyways would make the place prosper more, but it only leaves nearby spaces forgotten, as it has become unsafe, unhealthy, and unlivable. Its value becomes lost as the space has lost its meaning.

CARe-centric Ph is a very timely and necessary page for planners and politicians to learn from or be reminded of, so they actually enrich the lives of the people who are affected.

We celebrate the women in our organization and the many ways they contribute to the success of our projects—and to the well-being of our teams and families.

Being part of a male-dominated industry isn’t always easy, but with determination, courage, and dignity, women continue to prove that goals can be achieved just as powerfully.

Here’s to the strength, dedication, and impact of every woman in our team. A tiny token of appreciation. (Insert other female members who were serving in their post as this photos were taken)

Our good old friend Ar. Lerizza Beronilla visited the site last Saturday, for quality control management-her expertise. She has a loooot of nagging to do which makes a big cut off my shoulders!

We were in high school then when I influenced her to take up architecture, during a career day. We laughed at how we swore to one day become architects. I am not sure if she turned out glad about our decision though, but it was the start of our career paths.

Although we went to different universities, and she made it big in Dubai, we now both settled for "home", belong to the same UAP Metro Tacloban Chapter, and remain good friends.

Ever realize that what worked before doesn’t always work now? Plans age. Needs evolve.
When you pause, rethink, and realign—with optimism and determination—you might be surprised: same budget, better results, greater value.

We did this with our friend's building and turned a usual apartment into a different concept.
