QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
๏ A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
๏ Must possess a professional license/board exam passer.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
๏ Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
๏ Expert in cost estimating for various trades;
๏ Knowledgeable in estimating and cost engineering with job site experience;
๏ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD;
๏ With excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
๏ Knowledgeable on Machinery / Equipment Maintenance
๏ Ability to work under pressure
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Equipment Inventory Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of all equipment, including tracking and recording equipment acquisitions, disposals, and movements within the organization.
2. Equipment Procurement: Research, evaluate, and recommend the purchase or lease of equipment based on organizational needs, budgetary considerations, and technological advancements.
3. Equipment Maintenance and Repairs: Develop and implement a maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment is properly serviced, repaired, and calibrated. Coordinate with vendors or internal technicians to address equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
4. Asset Tracking and Documentation: Implement systems and processes to track equipment usage, condition, and location. Maintain accurate documentation, including equipment manuals, warranties, and service records.
5. Equipment Deployment and Retirement: Coordinate the deployment of equipment to appropriate users or departments, ensuring proper setup, installation, and user training. Manage the retirement or disposal of outdated or non-functional equipment in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage equipment budgets, including forecasting equipment needs, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Provide input for budget planning and cost analysis related to equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs.
7. Compliance and Safety: Ensure equipment compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines. Stay updated on equipment-related regulations and proactively address compliance issues.
8. Training and Documentation: Provide training to users on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance protocols. Develop user manuals, guides, and instructional materials to support equipment usage.
9. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and finance, to understand equipment needs, align with organizational goals, and support operational requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding equipment availability, issues, and updates.
