🟡 Where is the gold? 👀

Look closely… those tiny FPC connectors are hiding something valuable. 👀🟡 Gold-plated contacts are used for reliable, corrosion-resistant connections—and there are several of them on this board. How much gold do you think is actually here? ♻️💰

This old Nokia X2-01 looks like ordinary e-waste—but take a closer look inside. 🔧📱 The circuit board contains tiny contacts, connectors, and components where precious metals such as gold may be used in very small amounts. Some contacts may be gold-plated, while certain chips can contain microscopic bonding wires made from gold or other conductive materials. The amounts are tiny, but that’s what makes urban mining so fascinating. How much valuable material do you think is hiding in this old phone?

These tiny electronic components show how much can be hidden inside e-waste. 🔍 The macro views reveal extremely fine, gold-colored bonding wires and contact areas inside the components. These may use gold or gold plating because it resists corrosion and provides reliable electrical connections. The amount is microscopic, but it’s a fascinating reminder that valuable materials can be hiding inside everyday electronics.
