CEPL Pakistan is a national winner and very delighted to share about its recogintion and win at National Idea Bank.
Pakistan is an agrarian country with huge biomass resource which is not used efficiently and causes pollution in the form of rice straw burning in Punjab leading to smog, smoke and toxic particulate matter airpollution while at the same time 30% of its population still lack access to electricity and a vast majority of the
country faces natural gas (Sui gas) loadshedding in winter for domestic and industrial uses and forces the country to import fuel in the form of LPG, LNG, Furnace
oil and crude oil. While on the other hand the
productivity of small holder farms is low due to poor soil and limited profitability, low paid jobs and in-efficient resources. All these problems can be addressed by using our advanced thermochemical conversion technology which converts biomass and other mixed waste into electricity, heat,and biochar. Biochar is recognised by United Nations (IPCC) as a carbon sequestration tool while it also enhances the soil's carbon matter to increase soil productivity.

Our Technology:
Advanced Thermochemical Conversion through 2 Stage Pyrogasification Reactor to convert complex waste residues to energy.
Our Integrated System can process all the below wastes:
• Crop Residues such as Rice husks and straw, cotton stalks, Bagasse, Corn cobs, leaves etc
• Livestock Wastes such as dairy manure, poultry manure, etc
• Forestry residues such as waste timber, green offcuts, sawdust, pinecones, pine needles etc
• Industrial wastes such as discarded shells from nuts processing, press cakes, solid wastes
• Municipal Solid wastes such as organic solids, plastics and any paper and mixtures of these
Our process produces syngas which can be used as below:
• Syngas to heat production
• Syngas to electrical power production

We aim to work with following end users:
• Agri farms for feedstocks
• Waste processors for waste feedstocks
• Heat based industries such as Ceramics manufacturers, Sanitaryware manufacturers, rice and textile mills and any furnace and boiler-based industries
• Civil/municipal waste management corporations to turn waste into energy
Scale: Our technology is flexible
• Our demonstrator system is of 50kg/h which equates to 25OkW thermal which we use for feedstock testing
• Our next scale is 250kg/hr
• Our large system is 1 ton/h feedstock input
• Syngas to heat production (in boilers or furnaces)
• Syngas to electrical power production (engines or gas turbines)
