Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) Test | Commercial Geotechnical Testing

As part of a commercial geotechnical investigation, I successfully performed the Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) Test on an undisturbed cohesive soil sample collected during site investigation.

The sample was carefully trimmed and prepared to the required specimen dimensions before testing. The test was then performed under controlled axial loading, with the specimen showing a clear diagonal shear failure pattern at failure.

This hands-on work reflects my practical experience in soil sampling, specimen preparation, geotechnical laboratory testing, and quality-controlled testing practices, in accordance with ASTM D2166/D2166M-24. (ASTM Store)
