The energization of the newly constructed grid station POF South was successfully executed in the presence of the Honourable Chief Engineer O&M T&G Asim Ejaz Sab. This milestone activity was carried out following the completion of all pre-commissioning checks, ensuring the readiness and reliability of primary and secondary systems.
Prior to energisation, comprehensive inspections and testing were conducted, including verification of protection schemes, relay parameterisation, control wiring checks, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing of circuit breakers, isolators, and associated equipment. All safety protocols, operational procedures, and permit-to-work requirements were strictly followed to ensure a secure and incident-free operation.
The energisation process was performed in a systematic and controlled manner, starting from auxiliary supply systems to the gradual charging of transformers, busbars, and transmission lines. Coordination with relevant operation and protection teams was maintained throughout the activity to ensure system stability and proper response of protection schemes.
The successful energisation reflects effective planning, technical expertise, and adherence to international standards and utility practices. The presence of the Honourable Chief Engineer highlighted the significance of this achievement, marking the grid station’s readiness for reliable operation and contribution to the national power system.

Today, on 28th July 2026, Engr. Shehzad Ahmed Jalil Addl. C.E Cantt. Circle Rawalpindi / President IEA along with M. Saqlain Khan SDO F.6 / Press Secretary IEA made a heartfelt visit to inquire after the health of Engr. Ghulam Qasim Mazari. XEN (P&I).

Chairman Board of Director IESCO Dr. Tahir Masood, Chief Executive IESCO Engineer Khalid Mahmood and other board members visited the newly established State of the Art advanced Regional Customers Facilitation Centre at IESCO HeadQuater G-7/4. Customers can avail all the facilities under a single roof like due date extension, bill installments, bill correction, power supply complaint registration and even provision of new electricity connection. Dr Tahir Masood said that he and his whole team is very glad to provide such outstanding facilities to valuable customers and in future more updated advanced customers facilitation centers will be established in the whole IESCO region.
