Unlike synthetic materials, often suffocating and impermeable to water v***r, leather is a living natural material, made of a network of collagen fibers that makes it permeable to moisture.

Thanks to this unique structure, leather absorbs humidity, regulates it, and releases it gradually, ensuring unmatched comfort over time. That’s why a pair of leather shoes feels so enjoyable to wear in the long run: it adapts to the foot, avoids stagnant moisture, and ensures better hygiene. 🎓 ATC Tannery Chemicals is proud to participate in the ###VIII Congress, which will be held in Lyon from September 8 to 11, 2025, under the theme “Beyond leather tradition, innovation and sustainability.” This international event will bring together the global community of leather chemists, technicians, and researchers to exchange ideas on innovation, sustainability, and the new challenges facing the industry.

This edition could not have taken place in Lyon without the commitment and determination of Mr. Pierre Gualino, founder of ATC, former international president of IULTCS, and chairman of the organizing committee. His efforts highlight the excellence and expertise of the French leather industry.

Under his leadership, , with the support of CTC, SIC SA, and numerous partners, is ensuring the organization of this international event in a region renowned for its industrial heritage, innovation, and tradition.
