Another pride of Pakistan - 8 year old Shafey Thobani, world's youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
Shafay Thobani, an 8-year-old child now has won the honour of being the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.
Born on March 13, 2004 in Karachi, Shafay grew interested in computers ever since he was a baby. 'Shafay was born in 2004, the same year Arfa was declared the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine.
Arfa was an inspiration for us and I hope that Shafay, too, would be a role model for more children to show their tremendous achievements,' said his father, Dr. Thobani.
On April 9, 2012, Shafay appeared in the Prometric test and secured 91 per cent marks, thus making him the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Training Specialistat the age of eight years and 24 days.
The 8 year old child is certified professional in Microsoft Windows 7 Configuration and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2. Before appearing in the exam, he remained under training of Microsoft certified trainers for 13 months.
His trainer Faisal Durrani said it was a challenge for him to teach complicated concepts such as DNS and IP address to a child as young as Shafay. Teaching him for three to four hours every day, we would also allow him breaks to let him be the normal kid that he is, swimming, playing football or rollerblading,” said Mr Durrani.
Speaking of the boy’s main areas of interest, Shafay’s father Dr. Shah Thobani said he liked network and communication programming. “He has already completed 65 per cent of Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, too,” he added.
8سالہ شافع تھوباني کا مائيکروسافٹ سرٹيفائڈ ہونے کا اعزاز
کراچي… کراچي کے نوعمر شافع تھوباني نے صرف 8 سال کي عمر ميں دنيا کے سب سے چھو ٹے مائيکرو سافٹ سرٹيفائڈ ہولڈر کا اعزاز حاصل کرليا. آسماں کي بلندياں نگاہوں ميں لئے ننھا منھا، نٹ کھٹ اور معصوم شافع تھوباني نے صرف آٹھ سال کي عمر ميں ما ئيکرو سافٹ سرٹيفيکيٹ حاصل کرکے آئي ٹي کي دنيا ميں پاکستان کا نا م روشن کرديا ہے، شافع کا کہنا ہے کہ پہلے بہت مشکل تھا ليکن اب آسان لگتاہے اور ميں بہت خو ش ہوں. شافع کے والد کا کہنا ہے کہ مرحومہ عارفہ کريم سے سب گھر والے متاثر تھے. انہوں نے کہا کہ کبھي شافع کو مجبور نہيں کيا، بچے کو جس چيز کا شوق تھا اسے وہي کروايا. شافع نہ صرف کمپيوٹرز اور gadgets کا بھي شوقين ہے بلکہ اسے فٹ بال اور سوئمنگ بھي بہت پسند ہے. بچپن سے اسکے کھلونے کمپيوٹر، موبائل اور پلے اسٹيشن وغيرہ رہے ہيں. شافع کے ٹرينر کا کہنا ہے کہ شافع بہت شرارتي اور ذہين تو ہے ہي مگر اس کيساتھ محنتي بھي ہے. شافع کو اسکي عمر اور ذہن کے مطابق سمجھانے کے لئے آسان مثاليں رکشہ ، گاڑي اور کھيل کي چيزوں سے سمجھاتا ہوں تو آساني سے سمجھ ليتا ہے. 8 سال کا چھوٹا سا يہ بچہ قوم کا ہيرو ہے جس کي محنت اور ذہانت نے پاکستا ن کا نام دنيا بھر ميں روشن کرديا ہے. اتني کم عمر ميں پاکستان کا نام روشن کر کے ثا بت کرديا ہے کہ ہم ٹيکنالوجي ميں کسي سے پيچھے نہيں. دنيا بھر ميں پاکستان کا نام روشن کرنے والا يہ ننھا سا شافع تھوباني کہتا ہے کہ محنت ہے ميرا جنوں.اور دوسرے ساتھيوں کو بھي کہتا ہے کہ آو? تم بھي بناو? پاکستان.
