Recently it expanded its operations to a new 42-acre, purpose-built, state of the art manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh. The new manufacturing facility also includes Pakistan’s first and largest Miyawaki based urban forest on an industrial estate. Spread over 3 acres, the Pakistan Cables Urban Forest is home to over 50,000 trees of 59 native species. The Company was also one of the first 26 local companies to sign the Business Ambition for 1.5°C commitment prior to COP26 in Glasgow, UK in 2021. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, all CSR related activities are aligned with the UN’s Global SDGs. The Company’s science-based emission reduction targets are validated and approved by SBTi. Its science-based emission reduction targets are part of the long-term vision of Pakistan Cables to develop its net zero targets and strategies that are aligned with SBTi’s net zero criterion.
