Atom Power is proud to share that our GM, Abdul Rehman Wadiwala, recently participated in the “Morocco’s Opportunity for Academia & Industry” event held at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.
The event, organized for MAJU students, focused on:
🔹 Academic collaborations & scholarship opportunities
🔹 Business and investment prospects
🔹 Strengthening Pakistan–Morocco relations
We were honored to be part of a diverse industry panel, contributing insights on the future of energy storage and e-mobility, and how Pakistani innovation can play a role on the global stage.
Morocco presents a highly promising landscape for clean energy and mobility solutions:
🔋 Over 37–40% of Morocco’s installed power capacity already comes from renewable sources, with a national target of 52% by 2030—driving strong demand for solar + LFP-based BESS for grid stability and energy reliability.
⚡ With rising energy demand and grid expansion, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are becoming critical to reduce intermittency and optimize solar utilization, especially for commercial and industrial sectors.
🛵 The electric mobility sector is still in its early stages, but is expected to grow at 20%+ annually, particularly in 2-wheelers and last-mile delivery, creating a strong opportunity for scalable battery solutions.
⛽ Increasing diesel costs and sustainability targets are accelerating the shift toward hybrid energy solutions, where BESS can reduce fuel consumption by 30–50% in backup applications.
During the event, we had the privilege of meeting His Excellency, the Consul General of Morocco, Mr. Ishtiaq Baig. Our discussion centered around exploring collaboration opportunities with the Moroccan Consulate to promote Made in Pakistan e-mobility and advanced energy storage solutions in Morocco.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Vice Chancellor of MAJU and President of The Corporate Club, Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, for organizing such an impactful platform that connects academia, industry, and international stakeholders.
We look forward to building strong cross-border partnerships and contributing to a sustainable energy future.
