🤔 Why can the SAME Linux distribution look completely different?
You install Linux.
You see one desktop.
Someone else says:
“That's not how MY Linux looks.”
Wait... what?

One reason is the desktop environment.
Linux systems can use different desktop environments such as:
GNOME
KDE Plasma
Xfce
Cinnamon
MATE
They can change how the desktop looks and behaves.
Panels.
Menus.
Windows.
Workspaces.
Animations.
Settings.
And suddenly the same underlying Linux world can feel like a completely different desktop.
It's a little like choosing the interior of your car...
except your operating system lets you change a LOT more.
