The Automotive Engineering Department, in collaboration with SAE UET, successfully held a workshop on Continuous Quality Improvement in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) on 3rd February 2025.

Led by Prof. Dr. Amjad Hussain, an expert in OBE, the session covered quality enhancement, accreditation standards, and best practices in OBE implementation.

The workshop was attended by the entire faculty of the Automotive Engineering Centre, including Dr. Ali Hussain Kazim, Director of the Automotive Engineering Centre, UET Lahore. Participants gained valuable insights from Dr. Hussain’s experience with PEC, PHEC, GIKI, FAST, and other top institutions.

We sincerely thank Prof. Dr. Amjad Hussain for his guidance and all faculty members for their active participation. We look forward to more initiatives that strengthen engineering education.

On November 14, 2024, students attended an informative session on the Fulbright Program led by Ms. Madeeha Ali, Senior Program Officer at USEFP, in the Transportation Seminar Hall at UET Lahore.

Ms. Madeeha shared her extensive knowledge about the Fulbright Program, explaining its requirements, application process, and the opportunities available for fully funded study in the U.S. With over a decade of experience managing the prestigious United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP), she provided invaluable guidance to students seeking international education. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, allowing participants to ask specific questions.

On November 6, 2024, students had the privilege to attend an inspiring and highly valued session with Ms. Mehwish Anwar, Head of HR/Senior Manager of People & Culture at COLABS.

Ms. Mehwish brought a wealth of experience to the table, sharing insights on ethical HR practices, workplace harassment, and the intersection of engineering and human resources. Drawing from her journey, which spanned roles at AimFit, Xavor Corporation, and PAKARAB Fertilizers Ltd., she provided a unique perspective on building a positive and inclusive organizational culture while tackling challenges across different professional tiers. Key points included transparency in HR, zero tolerance for harassment, and the value of diversity.

Organized by the Automotive Engineering Centre and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), this session was part of the Professional Ethics in Engineering Practices course, taught by Mr. Muhammad Jawad, a dedicated and highly appreciated Lecturer with a solid academic and professional background in engineering and management.
